Level 1 - One Day Hoofcare Clinic

19th March - Full

This is a one day course for owners to understand how the equine foot functions, how to trim the foot to achieve balance and how to improve equine foot health.

Work is classroom based working on cadaver legs. No live horses are used, this is due to the focus being on education.

One Day Hoofcare follow up course

8th Oct (date changed)

This is for those people who have attended the One Day Hoofcare  course. The day focuses on horse handling, trimming on live horses, discussing issues, resolving problems encountered and keeping your skills up to date.


Some of the work is classroom based, the majority of the time is spent working with live horses. Attendees can bring their own horses if they wish.


Accomodation is avaliable either Bed & Breakfast or camping. Please enquire about costs.
Accomodation is also avaliable for you horse for a small charge if your attending a level 2 course.
Tea & coffee is avaliable, please bring your own lunch/seat
Cost for each course is $100
Trimming tools will be available ($100), you must have a rasp/handle/knife for the course. You are more than welcome to bring your own tools. However, your rasp/knife MUST be sharp. We use Save Edge rasps and a flat blade knife (no loop knives).

Claire is now based in Lower Chittering, she is still traveling all over the Perth area however this will be more structured for 2011. There is an online calendar set up for clients and dates for 2011 will be set for each area in advance. You are more than welcome to transport your horse to Claire if there is not an available date/time.

Cara has moved to Bullsbrook onto a 50 acre property, this will give Cara the opportunity to provide an improved service along with Agistment.

I have loved horses since I can remember, ten years ago I started a journey to learn more about horse health, well being and care.
I booked onto a course in Tellington Touch at Tilly Farm in the UK, I loved it and went onto complete the course and become a practitioner.
This led me to then go and study Animal Aromatics with Carolin Ingraham, which was an amazing experience.

Cara is an Equine Behaviourist and Ride With Your Mind - Biomechanics Coach. Helping the horse - human relationship both from the ground and the saddle.

Having ridden from an early age it was natural that Cara followed her love of horses into the work place. Graduating in 1994 with a Diploma in Equine and Business Management, Cara went on to further her training and widen her scope of skills and start her own business in 1996.
