Kelly Marks - Founder of Intelligent Horsemanship

Kelly Marks founded Intelligent Horsemanship so that horse owners could get practical help at an accessible level. With her mentor Monty Roberts, Kelly promotes respect and understanding of horses through courses, demonstrations and educational materials such as the revolutionary Monty Roberts Dually Halter. In this effort the work of the Intelligent Horsemanship Recommended Associates is proving to be of great benefit to horse owners and equine rescue centres.

Daughter of a racehorse trainer, Kelly Mark's life has been filled with horses. She won BSJA Championships (show jumping) as a child rider and continued on to great success as a Lady Jockey retiring after she won a Ladies European Championship in 1995.

Kelly conducted the first authorized courses using Monty's concepts, beginning in Oxfordshire, England in 1996. She is the founder of 'Intelligent Horsemanship', an organization dedicated to bringing the best horsemanship ideas together from around the world. Kelly tries to find the least stressful and most harmonious methods to create successful working relationships between horse and human.

Kelly gives demonstrations sharing Join-Up methods to help 'horses with problems', often traveling within the UK, as well as to South Africa, Singapore, Sweden, Denmark and France. She and her team run educational courses from Witney, in West Oxfordshire, England. Kelly is the author of "Perfect Manners - How You Should Behave So Your Horse Does Too", "Perfect Partners - How To Be The Owner That Your Horse Would Choose For Himself" and "Perfect Confidence - Overcoming Fear, Gaining Confidence and Achieving Success with Horses".
